Messi’s teammates at Copa America 2024 are said to have received a surprise gift.

According to Roberto Garnacho – the brother of midfielder Alejandro Garnacho – superstar Lionel Messi gave a special gift to his teammates attending Copa America 2024. The gift was a specially designed headset with two main colors of white and blue, along with the logo of the Argentine Football Federation. Although not disclosed, the value of this gift is said to be up to hundreds of euros.

“Messi gave 23 to the players and I also have one. I can say that I have received a gift from him,” Roberto said. 

This is not the first time Messi has given gifts to the team. After Argentina won the 2022 World Cup, the 37-year-old superstar even sent each member a gold iPhone.

According to the revelation, these ears were given by Messi to his teammates right before the Argentina team entered the Copa final against Colombia on July 15. Messi had to leave the field after about an hour of playing due to injury. However, the Argentina team still won 2-1 to successfully defend the championship title.

However, Argentina’s title was somewhat affected when, while celebrating on the bus, Enzo Fernandez and some other teammates sang a song mocking the African origin of the French players. Messi was not present on this bus.

Currently, Enzo has had to publicly apologize. This player has also been internally punished by Chelsea FC. It is likely that Enzo will receive additional punishment from FIFA.
